The Role:

As a Front End Web Developer at Roots Automation, you will be responsible for coding and debugging our React platforms. The focus of this role is primarily frontend,building out react pages that are served from our various backends.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in Frontend Development in a professional setting
• Solid experience with front end frameworks and state management with or similar to React.js / Redux
• Strong understanding of working with various data types and translating them for UX
• Experience with modern JavaScript coding, open-source tools, and modern development practices
• Passion for providing the best customer experience, and is comfortable optimizing for accessibility and performance
• Comfortable with working in an environment based on Agile development methodologies and CI/CD principles
• Willingness to take initiative and collaborate with others in order to find solutions to the team's problems
• Ability to develop applications using a test-driven approach in Django/Python
• Intermediate-level experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with REST, GraphQL, etc.
• Able to solve problems in a simple, neat, and organized way

Additional Skills:

- Experience with D3 or similar data visual tools

- Familiarity with web sockets

- Understanding of “JAMstack” tools (Gatsby, Next, Svelte, etc.)

- Comfortable with testing (unit, integration, TDD) practices
