About this role:
Processing customer payments and exceptions in a timely and accurate manner to customer accounts.
Work Schedule: This role involves working 30 hours per week from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with Saturday and Tuesday as off days.
Flexibility is required, including the ability to work weekends and some holidays.
What you will be doing:
Prepares customer payments for processing.
Coordinates set-up and maintenance activities for the remittance processor and related equipment.
Performs research and adjustment activities.
Processes exception items.
Maintains inventory of remittance processing supplies.
Prepares outgoing collection notices for negotiable instruments, e.g., bonds, food stamps, foreign items.
Train through all areas, using machinery, working with standing equipment.
Mainly scanning and using letter openers, both manually and with machinery.
Work all parts of the operations.
Other related duties assigned as needed.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
What you bring:
Capacity to lift or move up to 30 pounds
Considerable knowledge of remittance processing
Experience in operations or production machinery
Proficient written and oral communication skills in dealing with employees or external customers/clients
Knowledge of the practices, procedures, and problem-solving techniques required to process client transactions and produce output through computer operations
Proficiency to assemble, organize, and sequence work
Knowledge to identify errors in calculations and balances
Ability to operate IBML and NCR scanning equipment
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
Bonus if you have:
Lockbox experience
Experience with machinery
