What you will be doing:
- Leadership: Build and cultivate a high-performing engineering team with a passion for cloud-native principles, microservices architecture, and continuous delivery. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ownership.
- Delivery Excellence:
- As a hands-on Manager, work closely with your team to manage delivery. Drive high-quality code, excellent performance, and seamless scalability
- Adheres to the departmental application development and client delivery process standards.
- Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and other cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the development process
- Talent:
- Attract and retain top engineering talent. Foster a culture of learning and development, providing opportunities for growth and mentorship within the team
- Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.
What you bring:
- 14+ years of industry experience of increasing responsibility running engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native principles.
- Understanding of payments
- Strong background in Java, Microservices, Angular, AWS
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.
- Experience leading projects from architectural design to production, while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your team
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and a history of working effectively with your team and cross-functional stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in FinTech systems.
- Strong technical credentials, with at least 14 years of technical engineering leadership, with 5+ years of experience in large scale distributed system development including hands on operational experience.
- Proven experience with full development life cycle for large-scale software products including extensive experience with service-oriented architectures, design patterns and web services.
