About the role
As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll act as the voice of the customer to ensure that our teams continue to deliver more best-in-breed products that advance the way we pay, bank and invest. You’ll work as part of a team in a scrum setting and must be a self- motivated, proactive, and out-of-the-box thinker.
What you will be doing
• Identifying strategies and improvement opportunities while reengineering processes.
• Conducting tests to ensure changes made by programmers are correct.
• Assesses, applies and projects the impact of system changes on users and internal and external clients or stakeholders.
• Works with internal and external clients to confirm project requirements.
• Writes test plans and test cases to ensure changes made meet client needs while maintaining application integrity.
• Conducts a variety of tests such as system integration, readiness, and acceptance.
• Trains internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems or new procedures. Conducts one-on-one or classroom training depending upon the size or desire of the audience.
• May mentor, guide, advise and/or check the work of less experienced business systems analysts.
What you will need
• Knowledge of financial services industry and an understanding of end-to-end systems development life cycles.
• Knowledge of Canadian securities industry.
• 5-10+ Years of experience working within the Canadian securities industry and FIS Wealthware products.
• 10+ years of business systems analyst experience.
• Knowledge of waterfall, iterative, agile, and other modern approaches to software development.
• Proficiency in conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.
• A bachelor’s in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience – master’s degree is desirable.
• CSC Certification is preferred.
