We are looking for a creative and driven UI/UX Intern to join our team this summer to help us explore these new horizons.

Role Overview:

As a UI/UX Intern with Hatz AI, you will have the unique opportunity to focus on AI User Experience and Human Interaction. You will work closely with our Engineers and Product Managers to design, prototype, and iterate on user interfaces that enhance how people interact with AI technologies. This role is integral to our projects, and you will be at the forefront of developing interfaces that embody essential concepts from modern AI UX patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to translate complex AI functionalities into intuitive user interfaces.
• Design and prototype using tools such as Lovable, v0, or other AI-centric design platforms.
• Apply AI interaction patterns such as Wayfinders, Inputs, and Trust indicators to develop cohesive user journeys.
• Conduct usability tests and research to gather user feedback and iterate on design solutions.
• Implement experience patterns like Token Transparency and Model Management to enhance user trust and understanding.
• Provide creative solutions to make AI applications more engaging and human-friendly.

Who You Are:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Passionate about AI and emerging technologies in the design space.
• Strong skills in prototyping and knowledgeable about UI/UX design principles.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Creative thinker with a portfolio that demonstrates innovative design processes and solutions.

Work Environment:

This role is a hybrid position based in our NYC office in Flatiron. In-person attendance is required Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work permitted on other days.
