About You

You are passionate about corporate sustainability, travel management, and emissions reduction and are committed to playing a key role in helping major enterprises reduce their business travel emissions, leveraging cutting-edge technology and best-in-class travel management expertise.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Travel Data Product & Partnerships Manager to own the quality, freshness, and business value of our travel data pipeline. You will define and scale the pipeline as a true product — from source strategy through ingestion, integration, enrichment, and ongoing optimization. You’ll also manage critical partnerships with our travel data vendors and serve as a linchpin between product, engineering, implementation, and external partners.

This is a build-from-scratch role designed for someone who thrives in early-stage startups, understands the complexities of travel data, and is passionate about emissions reduction, automation, and AI.

Key Responsibilities

🌐 Data Product Ownership

  • Define and own our data pipeline as a product, covering the full lifecycle: source discovery, ingestion, normalization, cleaning, enrichment, and QA.

  • Continually optimize pipeline performance and scalability with a product mindset.

📊 Data Strategy & Source Management

  • Develop and maintain our travel data source strategy, mapping out unique attributes, limitations, and strengths of each partner/source.

  • Design and manage a playbook for how data from each source is handled (technical, commercial, support, and quality perspectives).

🤝 Vendor Relationship Management

  • Own the technical relationship with data vendors — defining integration specs, managing API or data feed performance, and ensuring alignment on timelines and service levels.

  • Lead the commercial relationship — pricing, renewals, contracting, and negotiation.

  • Maintain the support and quality relationship — resolving data issues, establishing QA frameworks, and pushing for root-cause resolution and proactive fixes.

🧠 Emissions & Methodology Expertise

  • Stay current on business travel emissions accounting methodologies (e.g. DEFRA, ICAO, Travel Impact Model, GHG Protocol, SAF credits, etc.).

  • Monitor sustainability policy developments and regulatory changes affecting business travel emissions.

  • Translate emissions methodology into practical data rules and validation checks across the pipeline.

🚀 Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the product team to translate customer needs into clear data requirements and features.

  • Work with engineering to monitor and improve data accuracy, completeness, and freshness.

  • Partner with the implementation team to reduce time to value, improve onboarding velocity, and troubleshoot customer data challenges.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Have deep experience in the travel industry (e.g. GDSs, TMCs, OBTs, NDC, corporate travel data, or emissions reporting platforms).

  • Have 3–7+ years of experience in data product management, partnerships, data strategy, or vendor management roles.

  • Are comfortable navigating APIs, ETL pipelines, and data schemas — not to write the code, but to shape design and diagnose issues.

  • Understand emissions accounting for business travel, or are eager to become an expert quickly.

  • Are obsessed with quality and speed, especially when scaling systems from 0→1.

  • Are excited by AI, and constantly seek ways to apply AI to data enrichment, QA, and automation.

  • Love working in early-stage startups, wearing multiple hats, and building from the ground up.

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with data privacy and compliance issues related to travel data (e.g. GDPR, PCI).

  • Experience with emissions-related certifications, reporting frameworks, or climate tech platforms.

  • Background in working with B2B SaaS, API-based integrations, or ETL tooling.

Diverse Perspectives

We know that innovation thrives on teams where diverse points of view come together to solve hard problems in ways that are just now possible. As such, we explicitly seek people that bring diverse life experiences, diverse educational backgrounds, diverse cultures, and diverse work experiences.
