Advocate Technologies is an insurance technology company providing modern insurance operations for lenders. Advocate was founded in October 2020 by a world class team based in New York and Athens Greece.

We transform lenders’ insurance functions across compliance, monetization, and analytics with better software and services developed by our world-class engineering and product development teams.

Our software solution empowers Advocate’s review team to efficiently assess and verify borrower insurance compliance for real estate and business loans (pre-closing) ranging from $100K to $100M. The role

You’ll design the product used by Advocate’s internal review teams and external customers to verify borrower insurance compliance for real estate and business loans—faster, with higher confidence, and with a clear audit trail. The work is a mix of workflow design, systems thinking, and shipping crisp UI into a domain with real consequences.​

This is not a “make it pretty” role; it’s a “make it work, then make it excellent” role, with real ownership and direct influence on what we build next.​

Design at Advocate

We’re a small, nimble design team in a product-led organization, and we hold ourselves to high standards. Design is involved early, and quality is non-negotiable: work either meets a high bar—or it doesn’t ship.

Our stack includes Figma, Linear, Fibery, Fellow, Cursor, ChatGPT, Storybook and Slack. We also have an established design system Tyche that’s actively used across the product.

What you’ll do

• Design end-to-end workflows that speed up and improve insurance compliance review
• Tackle data-heavy, decision-driven interfaces that help users make high-confidence decisions
• Prototype quickly (including with AI-assisted workflows) to explore solutions in hours/days, not weeks
• Partner closely with Product + Engineering to define scope, make tradeoffs, and ship
• Use research when it matters: run scrappy discovery, evaluate usability, and pressure-test decisions with real users
• Contribute to and evolve Advocate’s design system as the product scales

What we’re looking for

• Strong craft and judgment: high quality, but you ship
• T-shaped skillset: breadth across product design, depth in at least one area (systems, interaction, prototyping, data-heavy UI)
• Comfortable in ambiguity and 0→1 problem spaces
• Ability to influence product direction, not just execute tickets
• 3–5 years of experience building and shipping product

Bonus points

• Fintech / insurTech / regulated workflow experience
• Experience designing data products
